Vortex displays the trend of stylistic Star Wars that has continued to impress me the last few of years. With another washed out figure silhouetted against a bright two-tone Coruscant skyline, cover artist Ian Keltie succeeds again. This time, Han Solo is the recognizable face brought into the Star Wars "present" (he's in his 70s or 80s now). While I might have some reservations about the effectiveness of his character and his fade into the background of an increasingly Force-centric saga, there's no denying that the business end of his DL-44 suggests otherwise. Unlike other generic Star Wars art, I really love how they are making this series stand out with such simple but strong art and bold graphic choices. The force is strong with these indeed.
